MLM Companies With Low Investment In Malaysia

Thank you for visiting Mommy Lynn Blog. My name is Will and I am from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The above is a picture of me and my wife taken when we visited Osaka, Japan in November 2022.

My wife and I have been building our network marketing business using the BE International business opportunity since March 2018.

We did quite well in the business.

Our trip to Osaka was fully sponsored by BE International when we qualified for the BE Lifestyle Travel campaign.

BE Lifestyle Travel campaign is a sales campaign held twice a year where the qualifier can get to travel overseas free of charge!

As of 2023, we’ve already qualified 7 times for the travel campaign.

This is one of the many benefits building the BE business.

In this article, I though of sharing how we sponsored a new business partner into our BE business.

Our new business partner’s name is Tim and he is from Ipoh, Perak.

Back in early July 2023, Tim read an article that I wrote on this blog and decided to reach out to us on WhatsApp.

During our initial WhatsApp message exchange, Tim told me that he is looking for a low investment MLM business in Malaysia.

Tim asked me, what is the initial capital investment needed to get started in the BE business.

I told Tim the BE member registration fee is only RM60.00.

There is no need to keep stock because all the product will be kept at BE warehouse.

Nonetheless, I told him if he is serious about building a network marketing business by partnering with BE, it is very important for him to use the product from BE.

The core product for the BE business is none other than the Aulora Pants with Kodenshi from Japan.

I told Tim that the initial investment to do the BE business is less than RM1000.00 which is equivalent to the cost of buying a pair of Aulora Pants for himself.

Tim told me RM1000.00 to get started is the lowest initial investment of a MLM business that he came across.

Apparently, Tim has built a MLM business previously.

He was in a business that uses the binary marketing plan.

BE International uses a uni-level marketing plan.

It seems Tim had a fall out with his previous upline and decided to quit the business.

For a time, he had MLM stigma and didn’t want to get involved in any MLM business anymore.

But as Malaysia moved on after the Covid-19 pandemic, the country was hit by inflation and rising cost of living.

Tim has some debts that he has to pay and the rising cost of living is really getting him worried.

Having past experience building a MLM business, Tim knows network marketing is the best option he has to start a low capital investment business.

For the last couple of months, Tim has been going to multiple MLM business opportunity meetings and talking to many MLM leaders with the hope of finding a right direct selling company to partner with.

When Tim was actively researching MLM businesses and leaders, he found us through our blog.

Direct selling industry

If you are not in the direct selling industry, probably you may not know how big the industry is in Malaysia.

According to the World Federation of Direct Selling Associations (WFDSA), a leading international, non-governmental, voluntary organization representing the global direct selling industry in more than 170 countries fact sheet, Malaysia was ranked number 7 globally in term of total sales generated.

For the year 2020, the total sales from the Malaysian direct selling industry was USD6.97 billion!

As per the statistic from WFDSA, the top 10 direct selling markets in the world are:

1) United States (USD40.1 Billion)
2) China (USD19.18 Billion)
3) Germany (USD17.96 Billion)
4) Korea (USD17.74 Billion)
5) Japan (USD15.41 Billion)
6) Brazil (USD8.25 Billion)
7) Malaysia (USD6.97 Billion)
8) Mexico (USD5.27 Billion)
9) France (USD5.13 Billion)
10) Taiwan, China (USD4.46 Billion)

Top 10 direct selling market

If you are thinking of starting a network marketing business in Malaysia, probably you will be thinking which company you should join.

The following are addition statistic from World Federation of Direct Selling Associations on the different profitable product segments within the global direct selling industry.

Below is the data published by WFDSA on the different product segments sold through direct selling for the year 2019.

1) Wellness (35.6% USD64.3 Billion)
2) Cosmetics and personal care (28.6% USD51.6 Billion)
3) Household goods and durables (11.5% USD20.8 Billion)
4) Clothing and accessories (6.1% USD11.0 Billion)
5) Financial services (3.9% USD7.0 Billion)
6) Foodstuff and beverages (3.1% USD5.6 Billion)
7) Utilities (3.0% USD5.4 Billion)
8) Home care (2.8% USD5.1 Billion)
9) Books, toys, stationary etc (2.1% USD3.8 Billion)
10) Home improvement (1.7% USD3.1 Billion)
11) Other (1.6% USD2.9 Billion)

Therefore if you are researching direct selling companies to join in Malaysia, look for a company that has product range in:

  • Wellness
  • Cosmetics and personal care
  • Household goods and durables
  • Clothing and accessories

Which direct selling company in Malaysia has the above product range?

From my experience, most large direct selling company has similar product range but what you should look for is uniqueness of the product.

It doesn’t make sense if the product you want to sell is similar to your competitors.

How do you find a unique product?

When you are evaluating the product from the direct sales company, preferably it should be a blue ocean product.

Blue Ocean Strategy book

Blue ocean product is a concept from the book Blue Ocean Strategy by W. Chan Kim and Renee Mauborgne.

A blue ocean product is when a company has created a new market space where there are no equivalent competitors.

When there is a high demand with low or no competitors in the market, it makes building your network marketing business so much easier.

That was what I did when my wife and I are building our network marketing business.

Blue Ocean Market

Coming back to our story with Tim, we exchanged messages on WhatsApp for a couple of weeks.

We’ve also scheduled an initial meeting on Zoom.

During our Zoom meeting, I got to know what was the reason Tim wanted to get back into MLM business.

I also shared with Tim our story and how we got started building our business with BE.

I was being very open and honest with Tim and told him choosing the right company to partner with is very important.

If he chose the right direct selling company, 50% of the hard work in the business is already done.

I then shared with him the 6 reasons why my wife and I chose to partner with BE International.

The 6 reason why we choose BE are:

  1. The company founder which are MLM leaders themselves
  2. The right product which is the Aulora Pants with Kodenshi
  3. The right marketing plan
  4. The right education system
  5. The right business culture
  6. The utilisation of technology in the business

After our Zoom meeting, I invited Tim to come to visit BE International HQ located at Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.

He accepted my invitation.

In the end of August 2023, Tim drove more then 2 hours travelling from Ipoh to Bukit Jalil to meet with me and my wife.
