Can IP-PA1 Help To Relieve Eczema?

Recently, I have been doing some research on the key ingredient of a botanical beverage mix drink from Japan that my family have been taking.

The key ingredient in the product is called IP-PA1 and I have been doing my research online to find out whether it can help to relieve eczema?

In this article, I will share my findings.

What is eczema?

Firstly, what is eczema?

According to www.mayoclinic.org:

Atopic dermatitis (eczema) is a condition that makes your skin red and itchy. It’s common in children but can occur at any age.

What are the symptoms of eczema?

According to www.webmd.com:

No matter which part of your skin has eczema, the main symptoms is always itchiness.

The itchiness will start and then leads to a rash.

The itchy rash usually will appear on your face, back of the knees, wrists, hands or feet.

What is the cause of atopic dematitis or eczema?

Referring to www.nationaleczema.org:

People with eczema tend to have an over-reactive immune system that when triggered by a substance outside or inside the body, responds by producing inflammation.

It seems eczema occurs due to a person’s over-reactive immune system when it is triggered by everyday things such as dry skin, irritants, stress and etc.

How IP-PA1 can help to relieve eczema?

One of the feature of IP-PA1 is its ability to re-activate our in-active macrophages.

Macrophages are a type of white blood cell of our body’s immune system. The key functions of macrophages are:

  • Protect the body
  • Regulating immune system
  • Eliminate aged and abnormal cells
  • Repair cells

The macrophages ability in regulating immune system is how taking the functional food can help to relieve eczema.

Just like with every cells in our body, macrophages can become in-active due to aging, environment pollution, hot weather, cold weather, noise, lifestyle etc.

IP-PA1 is able to bind to the macrophages receptor (TLR4) to active it.

IP-PA1 discovery

Back in 2011, three scientists discovered the key principles of immune system activation and was awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine.

Are there any scientific research the effect of IP-PA1 on eczema?

From my research online, I did found a research paper published on the US National Library of Medicine website.

The title of the paper was Immunopotentiator from Pantoea agglomerans Prevents Atopic Dermatitis Induced by Dermatophagoides farinae Extract in NC/Nga Mouse.

The content of the paper is highly technical. If you are interested on the research, you can read the paper by clicking here.

In summary, the objective of the research is to find out whether taking IP-PA1 can prevent Atopic Dermatitis or eczema caused by dust dwelling mites. The test subjects were mice.

In conclusion, the research found that taking IP-PA1 has a preventive effect on eczema.

Before I end this article, please take some time to read the disclaimer page on this blog. The content above are for information and educational purposes only.

Thank you for reading this article and I hope it give you some insight on IP-PA1.
