My wife Lynn and I are professional network marketers.
We have been building our network marketing business by partnering with BE International since March 2018.
In this article, I thought of sharing a story where my wife and I met two ex-top MLM leaders from Malaysia.
These 2 leaders are husband and wife team and they were top leaders with a MLM company based in Korea.
The reason they were ex-top leaders because they had been terminated from the company.
During the peak of their career, both husband and wife had a combined monthly income of over RM250,00.00!
The first time my wife and I went to their house, there were 6 luxury cars parked in the car porch of their bungalow.
Their bungalow also has a swimming pool at the side.
To be honest, my wife and I were at awe when we first met this couple.
Both the man and women were very friendly.
From our experience, all the top MLM leaders that we’ve met are friendly by nature.
I believe friendliness is one of the traits of a successful network marketing leader.
Unfortunately, due to a minor violation by the husband part, the Korean MLM company management decided to terminate both him and his wife’s distributorship.
Over night, they lost their income source.
Both the husband and wife expressed their interest to joining a new MLM company.
That was the reason me and my wife drove for more than 5 hours to meet with them.
After we’ve met them, we could see that the experience of being terminated by the Korean MLM company has had a big impact on them.
The husband had to deal with all the financial challenges facing them.
Apart from the banks calling to reposes their cars, they also owe the Malaysia government income tax of over RM1 Million!
After our initial meeting with them, we could see that the husband wanted to rebuild his MLM business to his past glory, however, all the financial stress has affected him mentally.
I don’t blame him because I would have been affected if I were in his position.
I truly believe the ex top MLM leaders have the ability to rise again.
They already have the right traits of a success MLM leader.
They just have to get out of their funk and start working towards the right direction.
In the following section, I thought of sharing 3 tips on how they can get back on their feet.
Tip #1 – They need to stop telling the same story
This is very hard, nonetheless, they need to stop telling their past success story.
They need to let go of the past.
Holding on to the past glory days where he was the admiration off all his downline in his network will only prolong his pain.
Though they are in their sixties, both the husband and wife still have time to start all over again.
As long as they are willing to try, my wife and I will help them.
Tips #2 – Remember how they got there.
What they need to remember is how they became top MLM leaders.
I am sure when they were building their network marketing business, they were confident, worked hard and probably spent a lot of time on their personal growth.
The most important traits to get back is their confidence.
Tips #3 – Get rid of all the current distractions.
They need to get their personal finance in order.
All the calls from the banks and visits from the tax collectors can be very distracting and stressful.
They need to settle all the loans with the banks.
If their cars have to be repossessed, let it be.
Anyway, they don’t need so many cars.
They just need one vehicle to move around.
In term of the outstanding unpaid tax, they have to work out a payment arrangement with the tax department.
When all these distractions are handled, they will feel happier with a renewed fighting spirit.
After the initial meetings with the ex top MLM leaders, I can see that the husband has been taking proactive steps to solve their financial challenges.
Of course there were some setback.
Once when we visited them, they told us their house water supply was cut of due to unpaid bills!
Luckily the water supply was reconnected after their daughter helped to pay the outstanding bill.
They are at the verge of writing their new life story.
Their new story will be similar to “Rise Like A Phoenix From The Ashes“.
Whatever happens, my wife and I are ready to help them.
