My husband and I have been building our home based business using the BE International business opportunity since March 2018.
We did quite well in the business.
My trip to South Korea was fully sponsored by BE International when we qualified for the BE Lifestyle Travel campaign.
BE Lifestyle Travel campaign is a sales campaign held twice a year where the qualifier can get to travel overseas free of charge!
This is one of the many benefits building the BE business.
In this article, I thought of sharing a story on how I wasn’t able to inspire a Quality Control Engineer from Johor to start her BE International business.
Back in May 2023, Ms. T contacted me through my blog.
She has issue with back pain caused by slipped disc.
She saw testimonials online that the Aulora Pants with Kodenshi from Japan by BE International can help to relieve back pain.
She went online to search for some information related to Aulora Pants and found one of the article published on this blog.
After reading the article, she messaged me on WhatsApp.
Ms. T is very keen to get a pair of Aulora Pants for her back pain.
After doing additional research, she found out that BE International is an MLM business.
She told me that she is also looking for a good MLM company.
She actually joined another MLM company and has started to buy the health supplement from the company.
However, she wasn’t sure that she joined the right company.
She told me the MLM company that she joined has been around for a long time and a lot of people have preconceived perception towards the company.
BE International being a relatively young company, she thought probably it’ll be easier to build her network with BE.
I told Ms. T that I’ll be more than happy to share with her the BE business and marketing plan.
I scheduled a Zoom meeting with Ms. T the following day.
After our Zoom meeting, Ms. T was very keen on the Aulora Pants and wanted to join as BE member.
Ms. T is located in Johor and I am located in Kuala Lumpur.
Coincidentally, my husband and I will be going to Johor Bahru the following week.
I made an appointment to meet with Ms. T in Johor.
The following week, we met up with Ms. T and we had a good chat.
We asked her what was the reason Ms. T wanted to build a network marketing business.
She told us she is currently working as a Quality Control Engineer at an electronics factory in Johor.
Though it is a good job, Ms. T wanted to achieve financial and time freedom.
My husband told her he can totally relate to Ms. T because he was also from engineering background.
Being an engineer, Ms. T is an introvert and she wanted to get out from her shell and be more outgoing.
My husband is an introvert also and he actually make use of BE business training to learn how to be more outgoing.
During our meeting with Ms. T, we helped her to take her waist and hip measurements to determine her Aulora Pants size and shared with her how to register as BE member.
After we left the meeting, I kept following up with Ms. T on WhatsApp.
After a couple of days, she messaged me saying she had already registered as BE member and bought the Aulora Pants and Aulora Socks.
I congratulated her and then shared with her the Zoom link to BE weekly meetings so that she can get started in learning about the BE business immediately.
A few days later, Ms. T went into her first BE weekly meeting on Zoom.
A few days after that, I followed up with her on WhatsApp to make sure she received the items she ordered.
I also shared with her some tips on wearing the Aulora Pants.
Because I am located in KL and Ms. T is in Johor, all I can do is communicate with her on WhatsApp.
A few weeks later, my husband and I made another trip to Johor Bahru.
I called Ms. T asking her to meet with us.
Unfortunately, she can’t due to her work schedule.
Nonetheless, I kept communicating with her on WhatsApp.
Fast forward 3 months later, I invited Ms. T to attend a BE Together online meeting.
BE Together is a bigger gathering held on the first week of every month at BE International HQ located at Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.
The meeting is also streamed live on Zoom.
I asked Ms. T to join the Zoom meeting but her response surprised me.
Ms. T told me she is not wearing the Aulora Pants anymore because she doesn’t feel comfortable wearing it.
Since she is not wearing the Aulora Pants, she did not experience any result.
Because of that, she is not interested on the BE business anymore.
It’s a bit unfortunate I was unable to inspire Ms. T to really build her BE business.
The fact is, Ms. T didn’t give herself a chance to seriously build her BE business therefore she lost out on a great opportunity.
Probably she is very comfortable working as a Quality Control engineer right now.
There is really no urgency for her to step out of her comfort zone and try to build a part time network marketing business.
This is very common and I’ve seen this many times.
From our years of experience building the BE business, my husband and I came to the conclusion that it is unlikely that we will be able to inspire anyone to step out of their comfort zone.
Only they can inspire themselves to take action.
It is up to them to find their own inspiration.
We as a sponsor and coach can only help and guide them to find the inspiration that will spark the fire in their belly.
If a person does not have the desire to find their own inspiration, there is nothing much we can do actually.
For the time being, we will treat Ms. T as just another one of our customers.
Hopefully when the timing is right, she will explore the BE business more seriously in the future.
