In this article, I will be sharing how a young chef originally from Thailand but has been working in a restaurant in Malaysia contacted me and my wife looking for a multi-level marketing (MLM) or network marketing trainer.

Hello, welcome to our Mommy Lynn Blog.
My name is Will.
Me and my wife Lynn are professional network marketers from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
We have been building our network marketing business since March 2018.
Currently, we have our members and business associates located in Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Hong Kong and Indonesia.
Our strength compared to other MLM leaders in Malaysia is our ability to use internet marketing to generate leads to grow our network marketing business.
I’ve also created a personal brand for my wife which is Mommy Lynn.
First contact
OK, coming back to the story of the young chef that reached out to us.
His name is Mr. S.
Back in July 2022, Mr. S contacted us through WhatsApp.
He had read one of the article I wrote and published on this blog and he was really inspired by it.
Mr. S wanted to start a business but he had a few challenges.

How did Mr. S found our blog?
I used a method known as Attraction Marketing.
In short, Attraction Marketing is where we we published valuable content online such blog and social media to attract the right people to us.
With Attraction Marketing, instead of us chasing for prospect to join our team, we have prospect chasing us to be part of our team.
Attraction Marketing was how Mr. S found our blog.
Start a business
Mr. S has been working as a chef in a restaurant for the last couple of years.
He is in his mid twenties.
Though still very young, he wanted something more in his life.
He wanted to start his own business but he doesn’t have much capital.
With that, he decided to try network marketing.
As you can seen from his initial WhatsApp messages with us, Mr. S. has a few challenges.
Mr. S is a very shy person.
Because he works in a kitchen all day long, he does not interact with people much.
He has never done sales before and find it challenging to persuade people.
Mr. S understood that in order to be successful in business, he must be able to sell and persuade people.
Therefore, he is looking for a good MLM / network marketing coach to help him.
During our Zoom session with Mr. S, I told him that I admire his thought process.
Although he lacks sales and persuasion skills, he is willing to search for a teacher or coach to help him.
If a person cannot sell, he or she cannot be successful in network marketing or in any business.
Selling skill is the most basic skill a person must have if he or she wants to start a business.
I told Mr. S during our Zoom session that the world is changing.
People will be living in the post pandemic era where most activities will happen online.
Network marketing industry is changing as well.
Because people will be spending more time online, we have to upgrade our selling skills.
Therefore, if Mr. S. is looking for a MLM coach, the coach must be able to teach him how to make use of internet and social media tools.
I told Mr. S that he must be able to create awareness on social media and the best way to do so is by doing Facebook Live videos.
As a coach, I am willing to show him how to do Facebook Live step by step.
The key phrase here is “I will show him”, not “I will tell him”.
I have done many Facebook Live recordings before to create awareness for our MLM business.
As a coach, I will show Mr. S how I do Facebook Live videos.
All he has to do is watch and follow what I did.
I asked Mr. S whether he is willing to try doing some Facebook Live.
At first he was a bit hesitant because he does not feel comfortable recording himself.
I told him bluntly that if he wants to be in business for himself, he has to come out of his shell and take the first step.
If he is not sure what to do, as a coach, I am willing to guide him.
Is Mr. S willing to take the step to do his first Facebook Live video?
Time will tell.
He still mustering up his courage to do so.
I told him whenever he is ready, he can contact us and I am more than happy do show him how to do it.
As a MLM leader, I understand that Action Speaks Louder that word.
It doesn’t matter what we say, our downlines are always looking at what we DO.
